#91: Connections, Networks, and Ecosystems

While you may be a company of one, you still can’t do it all. Every one of us needs other people to come alongside us and help us throughout our entrepreneurial journey.

The Kaufman Foundation puts it this way: “Innovation thrives in dense networks.” 

Dan Sullivan and Benjamin Hardy emphasize “Who, Not How” in their new book. 

Finally, my good friend Mike Kim always asks, “Who can I introduce you to?” 

Truly, it is the teachers, peers, partners, customers, and community in our lives that get us where we want to go. These people are our network.

In this episode, I am explaining what exactly it is that we need to do to get beyond trying to do everything ourselves. I am talking all about how to connect with the people who will help you. Tune in to learn more about why connections are so important and the different categories of them that you should seek out as a solopreneur.

We'll dive deeper into these concepts:

  • Know the basics, but stick with your “genius.”

  • The value of loose connections or friends of friends.

  • Be intentional but be open to serendipity.
