What is the new journey of retirement?
We know that it doesn’t look the way it did even 20 years ago. Retirement, how people spend their time once they’re retired, and who can be classified as a “retiree” have all shifted significantly in the 21st century.
In this episode, I look into a report on this topic. The report was done by Edward Jones and The Age Wave Institute and is called, “Longevity and the New Journey of Retirement.” They performed a study of more than 11,000 North American adults, largely pre-retirees and retirees. Their purpose was, “To explore how the journey of retirement unfolds, the patterns of people’s experience in retirement, and the keys to thriving along the way.”
Tune in to hear the key insights from this report and what this means for all of us who are pursuing Encore Careers.
We'll dive deeper into these concepts:
The ideal length of retirement for today’s retirees.
